The Link Layer. “We cannot say we know the devices in our pockets”. What a MAC address is (and how it could be used by your boss to watch you or by attorneys in a trial to defend accuse someone). The Packetbrücke project by Savicic & Sjolen, a project that creatively and critically engages with the data link layer of the internet: when your GPS signal is weak, there's some software pre-installed in your computer that allegedly "improves your navigation", while it actually tracks your device. It uses a triangulation of the signal of wi-fi routers previously used by other users and recorded by the system, so that your device can be effectively tracked with even more precision than the simple GPS signal.
