Cosmopolita con raices balcánicas, Vuk Cosic es uno de los pioneros del net.art y una especie de "hacker de las ideas" incapaz de mostrar reverencia por las formalidades típicas del mundo del arte. Para un grupo de artistas a mediados de los 90, tener acceso al internet fue algo tan entusiasmante como la emergencia del performance o del video arte en los 60. Casi de un día para otro un nuevo medio estuvo disponible para dar forma a las ideas más extrañas y el net.art evolucionó tan rápido como el mismo internet. Vuk fue uno de los motores de esta escena y autor de intervenciones de sutil sirugía conceptual como el robo de la página web de Documenta X, la Historia del Arte para Aeropuertos o el ASCII Art Ensemble (dedicado a convertir el mundo en las letras y nùmeros del American Standard Code for Information Interchange, empezando por "Garganta Profunda" y otros fetiches de la historia de la imagen).
